I’m hooked on stitchin’! Sunday afternoon I took my first class at MADE studios – embroidery. Thanks to Teach (Samename a.k.a. Courtney Tourney of HyperCraftive), I finished my tiny stitches to create what may be one of the most terrifying Kewpie babies, ever. I was instantly hooked + sped through the night to buy a ton of embroidery hoops.

So far, my squirrely stitchin’ has produced the Nightmare Kewpie (above) and this little dude:

I’m going to cover a wall in these babies. A little gallery-of-stitch! For some reason, Husband Pants was a little weary at first about these tiny critters decorating our house. Once he took a look around at the Rainbow-Brite colored walls and vintage weirdness everywhere, he figured – why not? Exactly…

In other craftastic news, my little brother (R.W.) is collaborating with me on some new wooden jewelry made from reclaimed lumber and fencing materials. We hope to have them ready for Green With Indie + you can be sure I’ll post a Twisted Handmade preview here. I’m excited to team up with my bro!
