Meet Walter Bishop: the biggest hunk-o-luvin’ dog I’ve ever met. This hairy dude is an adult Old English Sheepdog. You know those dogs that look like giant Panda bears? Yep, he’s one of those. Walter’s hair was cut by his previous owner, but it is sure to grow back in it’s afro wonder.

Walter is a lazy, goofy, lovey-dovey dog. In the short time he’s been living at the Chesley home, he’s been pretty much alternating between napping and giant, wet & sloppy kisses. Walter is great with the kiddos. He was at the shelter where my mother works & before we began fostering him, my sister and our three-year old niece would visit him quite often.

So, we’re fostering Walter Bishop for two weeks to see if he’s a good fit for our little family. He may be a big guy, but with a walk once a day- he’s golden. He slept quietly for the past two nights, hasn’t chewed a thing (other than his bone) and can sit, lay down, speak, and fetch. Walter is also awesome with most other dogs & people, although sometimes he loves them so much- he wants to get his groove on.

Folks, we’ve got a humper.

It’s a dominance issue, and we haven’t seen him do it at our house, yet. We’re not worried about it at all- with training it won’t be a problem. We’ll see how the next two weeks go before making a decision, so here’s hoping it all works out!
