Happy 3rd Birthday, Addison

Today is my niece, Addison’s, third birthday. I spent Sunday with her, discussing the changes between 2 and 3 (conquering the Big Girl Potty and wearing Dora underwear seems the biggest incentive) while giving Barbie the longest bath in history. Last week, she called me to discuss her day while I ran errands for work. The ten minute conversation about her red circle boo boo that disappeared overnight made me laugh and smile more than anything else that week.

Tonight we shall celebrate via a “Princess Tea Party,” her theme of choice, which will provide hilarious photographic evidence of my father, brother, and Husband Pants wearing pink and donning sparkly tiaras. Tom and I spent last night wrapping her gifts and making her mini cupcakes (pink sprinkles, of course) while I watched old videos of her as she’s grown. For one of her birthday gifts, I created a DVD of all of my videos starring the birthday girl over the last year of her life, and it’s been one hilarious clip after another.
We are lucky to be a part of her life, as she has changed ours completely.

Happy birthday, Addison! We love you!
Love, Mot and Dacca
