This one's a keeper.

This weekend, my goal is to purge the house of unwanted crud & crapola. That’s right- the two packrats may actually work in reverse. Every year around this time, I get itching to re-organize & re-arrange the apartment (perfect timing after the craft tornado that is a Handmade X-Mas). The re-arranging is complete, but before we can get organized, we definitely need to let go of things we obviously no longer need.

A few places I’m sending my unwanted/un-needed items:

Binge & Purge :: (Vintage) I’ll be consigning some of my vintage clothing here. If I see something I love, I buy it- even if it’s not in my size. Time to move on!

Finder’s Hive :: (Craft/Office Supplies) Like many of us that wear the Craftypants, I horde supplies. While I can never let go of my vintage fabric stash, I have bags of stuff that I never use.

About Finder’s Hive ~ Finder’s Hive is the headquarters of Upcycle Exchange, a program that collects and distributes post-consumer materials to St. Louis area artists and crafters.

Goodwill :: (Clothes, Shoes, & Bags) One of my favorite places to hunt vintage, Goodwill, will get the chunk of the clothes. We originally thought of sending some to the victims in Haiti, but they prefer monetary donations to products (unless it is a rather large donation). Coats and warm clothes will be headed to a few local shelters.

While finding our stuff a new home has it’s obvious rewards, making room for fun like this is a completely random bonus.
