Addison the builder hard at work while I enjoy a nice nap.

This place is obviously having an identity crisis. Last week I became fed up with what was my “new” theme eating my category links and giving me a migraine. Fancy doesn’t always equal functional, folks. For 2010 I’m focusing on content instead of the space it sits in, although I am having a great time messing around with Themeatic for Wordpress while I clean up around here.

For the last week, I’ve been doing something pretty shocking (for me) – taking it easy. I’ve been having a blast with Husband Pants, mostly joining me in my laziness during his well-deserved three-day weekend away from the retail madness. We did venture out of the house a few times to see friends & nab some Uncle Bill’s to refuel for our next nap. For my part, I did my best Grandpa Joe impression and hung out on the couch watching old movies like The Last Time I Saw Paris with Lizzie Taylor and Sweet Charity with Shirley MacClaine while recovering from the massive brain pain that always is New Year’s Eve.

Captain Morgan, I hate you.

Being lazy did allow time for me to start a new book for the first time in months- Ava Gardner: Love is Nothing. I’m a sucker for starlet stories, especially those involving wonderful weirdos like Hugh Hefner. Right now I’m at the beginning of their story, which starts at the (official) end of her marriage to Mickey Rooney. Getting lost in a good book is something that needs to be much higher on my to-do list from now on.
