Over the course of a few months, we realized that we weren't in the right position to properly train and take care of a puppy. At first, we felt like complete failures, but after a while we realized that we did the right thing for the puppy, and that made us feel a lot better. You're doing it for the right reasons, and while it does hurt, you will feel better about it.. it just takes time.
