I may be losing my mind, but it’s time for the annual apartment re-haul. We tried to do this earlier this year, but between my schedule and frigid temperatures, it just didn’t work out. With the combination of a three-day weekend and my mother’s help, I plan to get our apartment finished by Sunday. Conveniently for me (and inconveniently for him), Tom works all day Saturday so I will have 2 FULL DAYS of an empty house. *yippee!*

Some items on our rather large to-do list:

• Paint the dining room white. We originally painted it chocolate brown when we moved in around 3 1/2 years ago. The brown paint makes this room a bit of a cave and I need more sunlight for our foosball matches.
• Paint this small dresser pink. I am going for a very bright pink, but no neon-nonsense.
• New curtains for the dining room, living room, kitchen, and my office.
• Paint the dining room chairs random colors. I have four matching chairs, so with the white walls, of course these babies will need the rainbow treatment.
• Gut the closets of my unwanted clothing. This stuff if going straight to Goodwill. We don’t have the space anymore. Plain and simple.
• Replace Molly’s kennel with a bigger one. Yes, she is moving on up to the Great Dane sized kennel. She’s huge, what can I tell ya?

The list goes on and on, but checking these items off such a long list that has been nagging me for most of 2009 is going to feel so good. Anyone else have weekend projects?
